Donations to the White’s Chapel Soldier Ministry can be made at the Attic Donation Center. The Soldier Ministry leader answers direct requests from soldiers as packages require a specific address, and her shipments are shared among other soldiers in the units. She has a regular schedule of specific mailings that fit the needs of the troops. If you would like to contribute, a list follows. Please label your bags “soldier ministry” and bring them to the Attic Donation Center. Thank you for your support of our men and women in harm’s way.

AA Soldier Items 2023 (updated)

• Letters
• Pictures drawn by kids; notes written by kids
• Unexpired snacks (chips, crackers, hard candy, beef jerky, canned fruit with pop top lids or dried fruit, nuts, microwave popcorn, protein bars, trail mix –anything we can buy readily that is not available overseas; small healthy snack items that can be carried into the field and drink mixes that can be added to water bottles have been requested a lot.)
• Unexpired vitamins, protein powder/mixes (New/unopened)
• Gum, tic tacs
• Unexpired Coffee (beans, ground or pods), hot chocolate, sweetened drink mixes (Hawaiian Punch, Crystal Lite, etc. –packets to pour into a bottle of water)
• DVDs, AA and AAA batteries
• Current magazines –no more than 3 months old (Newsweek, Time, HotRod, Outdoors, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, motorcycle magazines, fishing/hunting, golf; female mags. should be geared more toward younger ladies)
• Puzzle books, comic books, adult coloring books (can have some of the pages worked/colored, but not almost the whole book)
• Mouthwash without alcohol (travel size), floss, nail clippers, tweezers, emery boards, manicure/pedicure items (no nail polish or perfumes) (All implements are cleaned/sanitized.)
• Shampoo, body wash, lotion (both travel and full size) for all ethnicities
• Bobby pins, black or brown ponytail bands (new)
• Shaving gel/cream in tubes, razors (5 blades), shower gel, deodorant, detergent pods, fabric softener sheets
• Acne & regular face wash, female-oriented face wash & moisturizers
• Name brand feminine hygiene items, baby powder, foot fungal cream or powder, shower scrubbies/loofahs
• Baby wipes, non-alcohol hand sanitizer gel or wipes, Lysol or Clorox cleaning wipes
• Toys: Nerf balls, yo-yo’s, handheld games, dice, hacky sacks, origami kits/paper, juggling balls/books, stress balls (squishy balls like they used to give when donating blood)
• New or gently used small board games (with all the pieces)
• Non-glass coffee mugs (the metal insulated kind like ones companies give away)
• Men’s & women’s black socks (crew or boot length) new
• Men’s & women’s white socks (crew or ankle length)new
